Church Council

As in all Methodist Churches, Mahon is run by the “Church Council”. The Board is made up of 11 members and meets every three months. The meeting is led by the Minister and after a time of devotion, the Agenda for the evening is opened and many matters concerning the everyday running of the Church are discussed and decisions made.

Members of the Council are also eligible to attend the Circuit Executive on the circuit, which also meets every three months, when matters concerning all seven church on the circuit are dealt with.

To be a member of the Church Council, one has to be a Christian, to love the Lord and have a desire to spread the His Word.
