Choir

The people of Mahon have a great love of music. Hymn singing is a very important part of our Worship. Hymns and choruses are taken from the “Methodist Hymn Book” and the “Complete Mission Praise“.

Mostly the choir is small, but on special occasions such as Harvest, Easter and Christmas we can have quite a large choir.

Our organist is Rosemary Proctor and our pionist Alison Irvine, together they greatly enhance the praise in Mahon. Rosemary leads and trains the choir, which is made up of male and female, young and old.

Mahon Praise Group

The Mahon Praise Group is formed from choir members and others from the congregation.  They sing mostly Gospel music and are frequently asked to sing at Churches around the countryside.
