Sunday School B.B.Q.

Each year on the last Saturday in May the Sunday School holds a BBQ. This has become a tradition and is looked forward to by all ages.

This year families met at the church, where the children played games, rode their bicycles and generally had fun.

Mums, dads, grannies and grandads can sit and chat, help with the cooking or join in the games. At about 4.00 pm we have our BBQ of hot dogs, burgers, mushrooms, onions, salad, lemonade, tea and buns, all provided by the Sunday School teachers.

This year our minister the Rev Desmond Curran and his wife Elizabeth came along. At about 5.00 pm we all head for home again. It may all sound a bit tame in todays terms, but the children enjoy being together and it is an opportunity for the older members to relax and enjoy each others company.
