Portadown to Poyntzpass on the Towpath

Even though the day was warm and bright (for a change) the towpath between Gilford and Scarva was badly flooded. The river Cusher had burst its banks and was overflowing straight across the towpath and into the canal. At its deepest the flood was about 6 inches, which was ok as long as you cycled through it slowly. Walking through it would have been impossible without welly boots!

Ormeau Baths

Nicole was really impressed with the work on display at the Ormeau Baths Gallery. The exhibition of contermporary crafts was called 'rediscover northern ireland' and it was back home after a successful visit to Washington DC.
My mate Jill had some of her furniture on display and it was fabulous - probably the best and most original work in the whole exhibition (unbiased opinion). Well who else designs 5-legged tables?
